February stirred the depths of my soul as Rendezvous Mountain unfolded before me as a time machine that transported me back to the previous winter a season that etched itself into the tapestry of my memories like a vivid dream, and into the history books as the snowiest winter on record. February provided a sensation that was more than a mere return to a powder paradise; it was a liberation of the spirit, a dance with gravity and nature, an expression of love from above.

At the end of January, Dr. Huckinstuff was "daydreaming that in February 2024, rippin' cold smoke will be the norm." With 130" of snow in February, making it the 6th snowiest February in Rendezvous Bowl since we started keeping track in 1975, it's safe to say his dream came true. The mountain underwent a complete metamorphosis in the 1st week alone, with over 4 feet of fresh, providing the perfect conditions to host our second IFSA 2 comp of the season.

Yet our winter blessing was far from over; week 2 brought another 4 feet of powder, rendering an otherworldly 2-week total of 8 feet of snow! As Dr. Huckinstuff noted, "The real atmospheric love finally showed up for Valentine's Day, with a solid 16" igniting lustful fires in the loins of desperate powder-hounds." That fire continued to burn strong, fueled by another 15" of snow that kept the slopes soft and playful during week 3.

Amidst this replenishment in week 3 and another 33" to top off the month in week 4, clear skies emerged, allowing the sun to shine bright and rejuvenate skiers across the slopes. Timed perfectly with DJs bringing lively beats to RPK3 and the deck at Rendezvous Lodge, we caught a glimpse of the spring vibes on the horizon as we enter March.

I hoped February would never end, but at least we were gifted with an extra day by Leap Day. Make the most of that extra time and leap into savings with our special Leap Year Sale, where you can save up to 20% on lift tickets purchased by March 4 for any day the rest of the season!

Now that's how you leap into savings!

As much as we cherished February, it's time to shift our focus forward because the excitement is far from over. If you're up for a challenge, dive into The Bear Fight – a competition to devour the most Bear Dogs (our turbocharged version of a hot dog) for a shot at winning a brand-new pair of skis. Not into food contests? Showcase your skiing or riding skills at the Wild West Winter Rail Jam and the Dick's Ditch Classic Banked Slalom.
