The YETI Natural Selection Tour is BACK for 2022! Taking place on our home turf January 25-31, Stop One on the Tour will feature a world-class roster of sixteen men and eight women dropping into the Selector venue: a complex zone, rich with natural features, representing one of the most rugged sections of in-bounds terrain at Jackson Hole. The Natural Selection Tour is the pinnacle of a new generation of outdoor events and experiences designed to inspire a deeper connection to Mother Nature, where the world’s greatest snowboarders compete on our planet’s most challenging natural(ly enhanced) terrain.

A stacked crew of riders - new to the Tour, but hardly rookies -  have accepted invites, including: Arthur Longo (FRA), Danny Davis (USA), Kevin Backstrom (SWE), Jared Elston (USA), Marie-France Roy (CAN), Torgeir Bergrem (NOR), and Torstein Horgmo (NOR). They’ll be joining the eight men and six women who requalified from the 2021 Tour. ON THE NATURAL SELECTION TOUR

The Natural Selection Tour is designed with Mother Nature as the main character, and with mutual respect for and from snowboarding with a mission to celebrate the outdoors and unify the industry around sustainability. The Tour partners with Conservation International and YETI to develop and execute an impactful sustainability strategy, including carbon-neutral events and conservation-themed initiatives. As part of the Tour’s mission to inspire a global audience to forge a deeper relationship with the outdoors, the Tour strives to be zero-waste and doubles-down on carbon neutrality by matching the full draw down with both Conservation International projects and then again on the May Ranch in Wyoming, while integrating environmental education and advocacy efforts throughout.

The Tour will utilize the latest production technology to immerse a global audience of outdoors and sports enthusiasts directly into the action.

The Natural Selection Tour consists of two more legendary stops:

  • The Natural Selection at Baldface Lodge. The second Natural Selection venue, Scary Cherry, is located in British Columbia, Canada and takes place February 20-27, 2022. Home to the Red Bull Supernatural (2012) and Red Bull Ultra Natural (2013), Scary Cherry is a freerider’s dream with 80 massive natural drops, kickers and other features spread throughout the famously powder-coated, 40°-plus slope.
  • Natural Selection at Tordrillo Range. The final championship venue is located in Alaska’s remote backcountry at Natural Selection in the Tordrillo Mountains and takes place March 21-28, 2022. Watch the riders charge iconic steep spines and features, as seen in Red Bull Media House’s The Art of Flight and most recently the Quiksilver film Dark Matter. Here, the top men’s and two women’s finishers face off on arguably one of the best venues on the planet for riders pushing the boundaries of big mountain freestyle riding. NST Alaska will culminate with the crowning of the unquestionable top, all-around men’s and women’s snowboarder, period.
