Here's some news to get you pumped for winter: all 13 Thunder lift towers were installed on Monday! This exciting news means that winter is approaching and we're closer to getting you out on our new and improved Thunder lift.

  Old Thunder     New Thunder
  Speed     500 feet/min.     1000 feet/min.
Lift Time     7 min.     3.6 min.

That's right, you'll spend half the amount of time on the new lift!

Of course, this massive project isn't the simplest task. In fact, it required the Black Hawk pictured below just to get the parts up the mountain.

Those in Teton Village got to watch this impressive piece of machinery soar around the village.

It's not every day you get to see a helicopter fly massive towers through the air.

But getting the parts up the mountain is only a fraction of the process. The towers are built in multiple pieces and had to be carefully lowered into place.

It requires some HUGE bolts to keep these towers in the earth.

And a lot of teamwork.

Installation is by no means a simple task, but after some hard work, all 13 towers are now up!

We couldn't be more excited for the new and improved Thunder lift and cannot wait to get out on the legendary terrain it provides access to.
