There are so many different activities to do and abundant natural beauty to see; maximizing your time here is imperative to creating lasting memories. There's so much for your entire family to enjoy and we’ve compiled our top five to help your decision-making process easier. There’s no better place than the Tetons to grow your little ones’ adventurous spirit. Keep reading to find out more.
1. Grand Adventure Camp & Bike Camp
Help your children create life-long memories. Our Grand Adventure Camp activities include the bungee trampoline, rock wall, scenic gondola rides, pathway biking, art/science activities, and hiking with a focus on safety in the outdoors.
Mountain biking is one of the quickest-growing sports in the US right now; get them started early with expert guidance from our Bike Guides at Jackson Hole Sports. They’ll confidently flow through a variety of trails in our Bike Park before you, or they, know it!
2. Base Area Activities - aerial ropes course, bungee trampoline, climbing wall
All three activities are located around the perimeter of the base area, so you can kick back and relax or observe along the way while your kids achieve new heights.
3. Bike Park
Our Bike Park has many trail options for every level. Lucky Charm is a long, fun, flowing trail that is popular among novice mountain bikers, and is one of many beginner trails. For more advanced riders, our trails will help grow their aerial or cornering skills. Don’t forget to check out our trails atop the Sweetwater Gondola, like Solitoga and Deepest Darkest. Click here for a map of the Bike park.
Put the kids in our Bike Camp or ride along with them and grow together. Jackson Hole Sports has all the equipment you need to elevate your experience.
A Bike Park ticket includes access to Sweetwater Gondola and Teewinot Quad only. Upgrade their experience to include sightseeing access to the Tram and Bridger Gondola for just $15.
4. Via Ferrata
Via Ferrata, translated as "iron way," is a European style of climbing we are excited to bring to the Tetons. Climbers are secured to metal cables to limit the risk typically associated with unprotected scrambling and traditional climbing. The routes also have hand-and-foot hold aids, such as iron rungs, pegs, carved steps, and suspended bridges. If you’re curious about climbing or are looking for a thrilling adventure, look no further. Children 10+ years and older are permitted to climb the Via Ferrata.
5. Sightseeing (don’t forget the waffles at Corbet’s Cabin)
Summer sightseeing from the Aerial Tram returns after a two-year hiatus! Relax and soak in the views across the mountain, access amazing hiking, great food, and exhilarating activities. Your sightseeing ticket gives you access to the Aerial Tram, Bridger Gondola, and Sweetwater Gondola.
We hope this guide helps you plan your next family adventure. We’ll see you out on the mountain!
