Skiing & Riding

Find yourself at home at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Our 2500 acres of variable terrain offer a comfort zone for all ability levels. Whether you fancy yourself an expert skier, or your family is trying skiing or riding for the first time, we offer lessons and terrain that will fit your needs. Don't make the mistake of missing out on the hallowed slopes of Jackson Hole.

Looking for more places to ski and ride? Grand Targhee is just an hour away and Snow King is located in the Town of Jackson. 

Ice Skating

Teton Village

Teton Village Association along with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Grand Teton Skating Association have teamed up to offer ice skating at the ‘Village Rink on the Commons’. A one of a kind experience for all ages and groups! Grab your skates and don’t miss out on a little après skating action. Rental skates, snacks and warm drinks available at the warming hut adjacent to the rink.

Skate rentals $15.00 or $8.00 with a local ID. Skate FREE with your own skates.

Town Square

JH Winter Wonderland offers a captivating winter Skating Pond through the elk antler arches on the Town Square. The enchanting lights of the arches and old world charm of the ice pond provide a quintessential retreat to yesteryear, warmly welcoming all who come to the square. Come enjoy the music, lights, ice skating and laughter, as families gather around the ice and warm up with a cup of hot cocoa or cider.

Snow Castles

Your children will love exploring this winter wonderland and letting their imagination run wild in the coolest "snow fort" around.  Located next to Teton Village Sports and the ice skating rink. 

Snowmobiling

Explore all the Wyoming has to offer on a day away from the slopes with a snowmobile excursion. There are plenty of options on snowmobile around Jackson Hole. Whether its guided trips to Yellowstone, sled rentals at Togwotee Pass, or sledding to Granite Hot Springs, your family will have no trouble finding an experience they won't soon forget. Find yourself peace and quiet among the gorgeous natural backdrops of Northwest Wyoming.

Snow Tubing at Snow King

A popular afternoon and early evening activity, King Tubes is a maintained tubing hill at the base of Snow King Mountain. King Tubes is snow tubing made easy through access with a rope tow and a smooth groomed run. Snow Tubing is a winter sport that is fun for all ages and requires no skill. Anyone over 42" can come snow tubing at King Tubes. All tickets include tube rentals. King Tubes is open when conditions permit.

Sleigh Ride

Imagine taking a horse-drawn sleigh ride among an elk herd numbering in the thousands. At the National Elk Refuge, such an adventure is available to winter visitors from mid-December through early April via a private contractor, Double H Bar, Inc. The National Elk Refuge also offers additional wildlife viewing excursions and daily programs at the Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center.

Dog Sledding

Stash Park

Four different Burton Stash Parks are sprinkled around the mountain, mixing up natural terrain features, local wood and all of the creative elements the mountain has to offer. By using what's already around, the Stash has more impact on your riding and less impact on the environment. Look for the Stash icons on the Trail Map and find your favorite.

Snowballing

You know the drill here kids. Just remember it's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt, so play nicely. You'll soon find the snow quality in Jackson Hole typically makes for perfect snowball conditions, so aim below the face and remember only throw the snowball as hard as you would want someone to throw at you!

Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

Often overlooked, but not to be missed, Jackson Hole has plenty of nordic skiing endeavors available all over the valley. From cross country skiing to snowshoeing, there is definitely something for everyone regardless of age!

Shopping

A favorite of all visitors in Jackson Hole is the great shopping available throughout the Valley. Whether it's Teton Village's offerings of ski garb, or more western themed Downtown Jackson options, there is something for everyone to take home with them. Children's Museum

Spend time away from the hill and in the warm confines of the Jackson Hole Children's Musuem, where kids and adults alike can learn and experience everything about Jackson Hole and the Wild West. At the Jackson Hole Children's Museum, we encourage local and visiting families to examine the world together through interactive, hands-on exhibits and educational programs in the arts, sciences, literature, and history. Our goal is to help children and grown-ups of all ages build a love of learning through collaborative play and creative problem solving in a nurturing environment.

Mountain Coaster

Giddyup! The NEW Cowboy Coaster zips, twists and turns through nearly a mile of loops, curves and hairpin turns.

Experience Teton views like you’ve never seen them before on Jackson’s most exciting new attraction. The Cowboy Coaster takes riders 370 feet up Snow King Mountain, and then lets you loose down twists and turns as high as four stories tall for an exhilarating roller-coaster thrill ride! Yeeeeehaaaw!
