Anticipation is high for Opening Day as snow has blanketed Jackson Hole in sparkling white over the last few weeks, reminding us that a season of shredding is on the horizon.
To encourage our community and employees to spend Thanksgiving Day with loved ones, we've made the decision of opening for the season on Friday.
With a natural snowfall season total of 82" and incredible efforts by the snowmakers to maximize the recent cold temps, we are slated for a big opening weekend. Sweetwater Gondola, Teewinot, Aprés Vous, Teton and Casper lifts are all ready to start spinning Friday morning at 9am!
“We’re excited to open up for skiers and riders on Nov. 25 after a tremendous past few weeks of snowfall and cold temperatures,” said JHMR President Mary Kate Buckley. “This is some of the best early season snow we’ve seen in the last decade. It’s been the perfect combination of snow and snow making since late October, which leads to great coverage on our world-class terrain.”

While the base is looking strong, early conditions still exist; please watch for unmarked obstacles, and stay out of closed areas.
Food and Beverage services are also excited to announce new upgrades to their service. RPK3, our popular slope-side kitchen and bar under the Aerial Tram, will introduce a whole NEW menu and dining experience, with extended hours from 11:30am - 6pm to accommodate visitors' après desires.
Improvements to Café 6311 will include a change in service from grab-and-go food to made-to-order. Start off opening day with a visit to Café 6311 for a fresh cinnamon bun, french toast or breakfast burrito.
The JHMR Aerial Tram will be open for sightseeing and world famous waffles at Corbet's Cabin from 10am-2pm Saturday, Nov. 26 - Sunday, Nov. 27 to celebrate opening weekend. No ski equipment is allowed.
