The JH Downhill Championships are back, and we're picking up right where we left off. Returning racers and plenty of new faces came out ready to take on the first course of the season, Solitoga.
While rain rolled in on Saturday and pushed the race to Sunday, the extra moisture made for hero dirt and some incredible riding conditions. Riders charged down the course, creating fierce competition while cheering each other on every step of the way.
Six of the season's 10 categories kicked things off. In the Women's Pro division, Ciara McGinley claimed first, followed by Shelley Durtschi in second. After making a last-minute jump from Amateur to Pro, Madison McGee rounded out the podium in third. On the men's side, JH Downhill veteran Bridger Bybee took the top spot in Men's Pro, with Nick Brindisi close behind in second and Brian Selmer finishing third.
With two more races on the calendar, July 25 and August 29, we're excited to keep the momentum rolling. Whether you're racing or just cheering from the sidelines, we'd love to see you at the next one!
