Year five of Kings & Queens of Corbet’s is a wrap and what a spectacle of talent and skill that was! 23 world-class skiers and riders descended Corbet’s Couloir to the amazement of all who were present in-person or tuned in live to Red Bull TV around the world. Conditions differed from the previous four years, but the competitors still put down jaw-dropping runs.
First and foremost, a massive congratulations to the 2022 King and Queen of Corbet’s, Hanz Mindnich and Piper Kunst! You can watch their winning runs in the Top Five Men's & Top Three Women's highlights below.
Hanz is a veteran of Kings & Queens who drew worldwide praise for his insane wallride at last year’s competition. Hanz hails from Mt. Baker and interestingly enough, he dropped in first during the inaugural Kings & Queens in 2018 on his birthday.
Piper competed in her first Kings & Queens this year and cemented her legacy by capping her first-ever run with a moonshot of a backflip. Piper calls Alta home and we expect that we’ll continue to be impressed with her skills on two planks.
Before we dive into the Top Men’s & Women’s Runs highlights below, we’d like to recognize the competitors who rounded out the podiums, as well as the winner of the People’s Choice Award.

People’s Choice Award
In collaboration with Red Bull, we launched the People’s Choice Award with the goal of recognizing the fans’ favorite competitor. Since the judging is conducted by the athletes, this award gives you, the fans, a valued voice. This year’s winner of the People’s Choice Award is Jackson Hole local Corey Jackson! Throughout the weather window, Corey’s infectious stoke helped fuel positivity and inclusivity amongst the field of competitors. His passion for skiing and expressing himself on-snow are invaluable and we can’t think of a more deserving individual for the inaugural year of this award.
Now, let’s relive the competition and watch the Top Men’s & Women’s runs from Kings & Queens of Corbet’s 2022.
Year five of Kings & Queens of Corbet’s was unique and one we will look back on fondly despite less-than-ideal snow conditions. The countdown to year six of Kings & Queens begins now and we can hardly wait!
