If you're keen to build skills on your mountain bike and meet other like-minded women in the process, JH Sports' brand-new weekly women's downhill mountain bike clinic is just for you! Ladies' Laps are small group-focused clinics designed with personalized coaching in mind to prioritize building skills and confidence on your bike. BICP certified guides will rotate through four different skill sets, focusing on one specific skill per session. Clinic skills include: Roots and Rocks, Cornering, Jumps and Drops, and Steep Descents.

  • Roots and Rocks clinics focus on decision making through technical terrain on trails with roots, rocks, and similar obstacles.
  • Cornering clinics will focus on maintaining a balanced position and making a smooth turn while riding through corners.
  • Jumps and Drops clinics will emphasize features where both bike tires leave the ground and how to maintain control and balance throughout.
  • Steep Descents clinics will build on skills used to ride steeper terrain using controlled speed and stability. 

Ladies’ Laps is the perfect opportunity for women in the mountain biking community to build skills, confidence, and camaraderie. Ladies’ Laps is every Thursday from 3:00-5:00 p.m.; the group meets just before 3:00 p.m. at the JH Sports Rental Shop. Space is limited to ensure as much personalized coaching as possible; reserve your spot in advance and be on your way to better biking!
