Trail Starts Here Challenge Recap
The Trail Starts Here Challenge returned this Summer and the stakes were higher than ever. Each week, runners and hikers had the chance to compete for new trail running shoes from a select GORE-TEX partner. To enter, all participants had to do was download the JH Insider App and track on any JHMR trails! In addition, GORE-TEX Brand also awarded each male and female season-long winner with $1,000 to a JHMR retailer!
Coming out of the gate, the competition was fierce with 3 of the first 4 weekly winners each running over 70 miles to take home the win for that week. However, you didn’t need to be an ultra runner to take home the win; throughout the competition weeks, multiple winners were under the 20 mile mark as well.
Now that the challenge has come to a close, it is time to congratulate our season-long winners…
Our first-place female competitor is Stephanie L. running a whopping 352 total miles, firmly solidifying her season-long win. Next, our overall male competitor came in with 237 total miles in just 15 days, Justin N.!

Rendezvous Mountain Hillclimb Results
It was western. Another classic Jackson Hole Mountain Resort event, the 10th year of the Rendezvous Mountain Hillclimb went off amidst porous clouds and frigid rain up high, making one of the toughest running events in the west that much more difficult. Despite these precipitous conditions, stoke remained high amongst a field of runners varying in age and competitive level.
