Adaptive
While our Adaptive Program is now one of the most progressive and comprehensive in the country, it started modestly—Mountain Sports School coaches simply wanted to ski and ride with their friends that used adaptive equipment. In the decades since its founding, the program has grown, but its heart remains the same: We help adaptive athletes (and aspiring athletes) of any age and skill level experience and enjoy Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

Adaptive Lessons
Every Adaptive Lesson is a private lesson. Engaging one-on-one with one of MSS’s Adaptive Coaches, the goals and flow of your day are up to you. Ski from first lift to last lift or take an early and extended lunch. There’s one thing not up to you: You will feel part of the JHMR community. We’re happy to have you for multi-day lessons, too.
Adaptive Seasonal Program
A lesson is great. Imagine what you can do with a half- or full-season of weekly private lessons. Adaptive skiers and riders can sign on for 6 or 12 weeks of weekly private lessons.
Adaptive Steep & Deep
Our most iconic multi-day camp, Steep & Deep, is available to advanced and expert adaptive skiers. Over 4-days, challenge yourself on and learn the secrets of confidently skiing some of our most challenging terrain. We’re happy to answer any questions you might have before (or after) you register for this camp: 307-690-4774 or adaptive@jacksonhole.com.
Summer Adaptive Activities
Our trained adaptive guides and specialized, cutting-edge adaptive equipment offer you and your family the opportunity to enjoy the mountains this summer in a way you haven't before!
Teton Adaptive
Our Adaptive Program’s nonprofit partner is Teton Adaptive. Founded in 2005, Teton Adaptive supports adaptive sports in Teton County, Wyoming and Teton County, Idaho by purchasing and sharing specialized equipment, sending passionate instructors to Adaptive trainings, and subsidizing the cost of outdoor sports. Teton Adaptive offers year-round programming in climbing, camping, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, paddling, alpine and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating/sled hockey.
Accessible Parking
There are two accessible parking areas at JHMR:
Bridger Center
Turn into JHMR’s main entrance. At the first fork, turn right onto Teton Village Road. At the first stop sign stay straight on Granite Loop Road. Pass Snake River Lodge (on your left) and then take your first left. This left is a narrow ally between Snake River Lodge and the Four Seasons. The alley leads to an accessible parking lot tucked behind the Bridger Center. At the top of the wheelchair-accessible ramp is a door that opens to the center’s 1st floor and an elevator.
Kids Ranch (Cody House)
Turn into JHMR’s main entrance. At the fork, turn left onto McCollister Drive. Follow signs for the Upper Cody parking lot. Turn right onto Cody Lane and drive past Teton Mountain Lodge. Continue winding your way around Cody Lane; you’ll be heading toward The Teton Club and drive under a skier bridge. Accessible Parking spaces are located in the Cody Circle at the end of Cody Lane. The Kids Ranch will be on your left. An elevator is located on its ground floor.
