Kings & Queens of Corbet's is back in less than a month! The sixth year of this world-renowned competition will take place Feb. 4-11. This year, Kings & Queens of Corbet’s will play out amid prime snow conditions, with over 260" of snowfall so far this season. Kings & Queens is part of a full slate of Royal Week events, including athlete appearances, autograph signings, daily après and thrilling parties!

Each year, we're left awestruck as we bear witness to new tricks, from double backflips to nose butters, huge methods and more. We will provide complete coverage of the event, including behind-the-scenes live-looks during the competition from all over the venue on Instagram Reels and Stories (@jacksonhole) and on TikTok (@jackson.hole). A full recap of the event will be released on jacksonhole.com.

“Kings & Queens is an athlete-focused event, and the athletes continue to impress with innovation, style and creativity,” said Jess McMillan, director of events and partnership at JHMR. “There is nothing more mind-blowing than watching athletes send 60-foot tricks that will change what you thought was possible. And the best way to experience all of it is in person at the base of Corbet’s Couloir in Tensleep Bowl.”

Leading this year’s roster of confirmed athletes are skier and two-time king Karl Fostvedt (2018, 2021) and 2020 king Parkin Costain, as well as reigning queen Piper Kunst and 2020 queen Veronica Paulsen, the first woman to land a backflip into Corbet's Couloir.

Other competitors include skier Corey Jackson — a 2022 People’s Choice winner and Jackson Hole native — skier Jake Hopfinger, and snowboarders Yuki Kadono and Ryan Wachendorfer. Kadono is a six-time medalist at the Winter X Games and winner of the 2020 Burton US Open, and Wachendorfer placed fourth in the halfpipe at the 2022 Winter X Games.

Kunst and Paulsen highlight a full roster of elite women’s competitors that also includes Olympic snowboarders Sarka Pancochova, Cheryl Maas and Maddie Mastro, as well as skiers Amy David and Juliette Willmann.

Kings & Queens of Corbet’s is sponsored by Jeep, YETI, Sweet Protection, Smartwool, GoPro, Continuum, Red Bull, Nature Valley, GORE-TEX, SCOTT Sports and Mammut.

Into the Mind: Parkin Costain

Heading into my first Kings & Queens competition back in 2019, I never could have prepared myself for what was to come. Dropping into the event I had few expectations, but runs have progressed exponentially over the last few years and I’m honored to have witnessed all the craziness first-hand. Throughout this competition, I’ve gained new friends, experienced STOKE on a level I didn't know existed, and had some of the most intimidating moments of my life.
